    I don't like using CHE's with BP's. they tend to put out way too much heat. If you have a lamp dimmer or a thermostat they can be made to work, but even still I'm not a huge fan of them.

    I much prefer Infrared Heat bulbs like this one: http://www.petsmart.com/product/inde...uctId=11147193

    or Under Tank Heaters (UTH's must be regulated by a thermostat)

    I use CHE's and they work just fine.

    as I said they can be made to work... I just feel that they are not the best choice for BP's
