When are females ready for breeding?
I know this will probably vary but at about how many grams is a sexually mature female? And approximately how many years after hatching are females usually ready to mate? I am getting ready to buy a few females and a couple of males but Im in no hurry to get the males as they mature much faster than females. Any help would be great.

Females mature and many diff sizes and age. Most females when they hit 1200 grams are mature enough to breed.

alot of people like the 3years/1500 grams rule. If my female gets to 1500 in 2 years, id pair her. Have heard of people pairing at 1000grams but personally i wouldnt do it. Have paired at 1300+ and gotten all healthy eggs. They usually keep eating after pairing so at 1300, she didnt actually drop eggs til she was around 1600grams
