    i made a stand for a large fish tank but i just sold the tank. now im thinking of insulating it and making it an incubator.

    how should i make the door?
    how much heat tape?
    where should i put the fans?
    will this work??????

    Wood isn't a very good insulator so you will have to get some foam board or something like that.

    How big is it?

    i was going to get insulation from lowes then inclose it. the inside would be about 17x30x62.

    My personal opinion: I would keep that as an extra tank stand (it looks like you did a nice job with it) and then look for a broken fridge or freezer or cooler on craigslist and buy that and DIY it into an incubator.
