    trousersnakes
    animal plastics t8 lighting issues
so they didnt suggest to get any lights and I did not really think about it since I leave the light in the room on during the day for the daytime effect and turn it off to make it dark at night. Since the T8 is so short and all sides but the front are black even witht he bright lights on it does not really light up the cage that much. It is enough to see the snake but I am wondering if they will suffer since they wont get the full daytime effect and know to sleep and then be sure when it is nighttime to roam around. Has anyone had issues with this at all?

Depends on snake specie... most of them are nocturnal creacutures... and instead like lizards with need UVA/UVB light and calcium suplements.. they get all nutricions from prey.. so i think is not really necesary...
