One day he went into shed and was all brown and black, and when he shed what used to be brown is now white/yellowish. Does anyone know what this is known as? Is it bad? Any info/ideas would be great...

Not sure what caused the pigment loss, but your guy looks a little bit dehydrated.

How old is your BP? I've seen pigment fading on older BPs, but not in a single shed. It usually happens over time.

He never had any type of burn on that spot did he?

I've seen a couple posts where a snake has drastically changed in just one shed. I think 1 was a bee that looked anxanthic. Not sure what causes it though.

I second that your snake looks a bit dehydrated.

Might be a new morph. Id name it the abracadabra ball lol. No but seriously ive seen pigment loss from snakes before that came on pretty sudden. Dont know exactlly what causes it. Is the animal eating regularly and all the other important things good like husbandry etc? Any signs of illness? Was it a full shed or in pieces? Do you use lights or heat pads?

I have seen a few threads occassionally where the snake loses some pigment during sheds, but the color usually returns after a few sheds. Here is a thread where a spider turned completely gray in one shed, but at the end of the thread the OP posted a photo of the snake as the color was returning...

Can it be some sort of nutrient deficiency?
That's essentially what happens in birds who experience pigment loss.

No sign of illness, drinks regularly, has never refused a meal as long as I had him, and he's been locking up with my female here lately. I thought about nutrient deficiency, and I've been looking around for a good liquid/powder that I can give him. Also, there's nothing for him to burn himself on, and all heat sources are controlled with a thermostat, and checked with a temp-gun.
