    I'm possibly moving to ny don't know what part yet and I have 2 ball pythons, any info I should know about laws permits etc that I should know beforehand???

    There are no state wide laws against keeping ball pythons.

    Make sure you also check the town you're going to move to. Many local municipalities have vague "constrictor" bans. The town should have a website with their ordinances on it. Start there [better to see if its ok than to plant the idea in the heads of a local government who may go "now that you mention it, its legal here.. maybe we should think about banning them" ].

    It would be in the part of their town's ordinances that deal with animals.

    What's the reasoning for them being illegal in NYC? I've known that they were but never really looked into why.
