Feeding a mouse that's a little to big?
My bp is 100 grams and Iv got a frozen mouse there to feed him, I just weighed the mouse and it's 20grams. I know your only supposed to feed him ten percent of his body weight but will ten grams more hurt him?

I go by 15%, but 10-%-15% is considered good. feeding a larger meal is ok as long as it isn't something that you do all the time. So yes, you can go ahead and feed your BP this meal, just don't make a habit of it.

Well, it's not going to hurt him, but it's definitely not something you want to do often. Just make sure that if you're feeding a meal that's a bit bigger than what it should be, that you don't mess with the snake for at least three days. It could probably skip the next feeding, too.

This is just what I do whenever the meals I have for my snakes are a little big. I just leave them alone for longer than usual, and let them miss their next feed.

Nice thanks, I wait four days without touching him at all everytime I feed I thought thats how long you had to wait anyway, I'll feed him this one now and I'll get something a little smaller for next time

sounds good, generally people wait 48 hours after a feeding before handling them again, but with a larger meal 3-4 days is a good idea

its not so much the weight as the girth of what they eat. rule of thumb is to not feed ur snake anything wider than the thickest part of its body. as for handling it, after it eats, when it starts moving around, like trying to escape ur tank its on...
