Eating problem?

Soo i have been hearing all this stuff about how ball pythons are really picky eaters...but i gotta say ive had no problem!! i feed him in a separate container every 5 days and i get a feeding response everytime and ive had him for about 4 months now...my question is. when will he start not wanting to eat, so i can be prepared? lol And is it only the adults that are picky eaters?

It all depends really.... Some will refuse food during the winter months, some when it comes time to breed... Others will just because LOL..

Some will never have a problem, but it's typically adults that go on fasts and/or get set in their feeding ways (live, mouser, etc.). Fasts typically occur during winter months (males especially) and/or when they hit ~1000g (females especially). Personally, I think feeding in a separate enclosure is an unnecessary extra step, and would never want to pick one of my BPs up on feeding day, especially after a meal.

Just remeber to be patient when and if it does happen keep offering like normal and wait it out. It sucks when it happens but if you can stay calm it is a little easier to deal with :)
