Newspaper substrate

I am new to using tubs for enclosures, and i am using newspaper now as substrate also. I like having the tubs, but a couple of my snakes are getting under the newspaper. Is this a problem? They both have adequate hides,:cens0r:I just do not want this to be a sign that i am not meeting one of their needs.

No doesnt sound like a problem. I have some tubs that dont have hides at all. only problem with the paper is it doenst do anything for humidity.

Nope them going under is fine. As long as your temperatures are ok, you won't have any issues. To them it's just another hide at their disposal.
