    Himidity question
The humidity in my cage is a little over 40% but I have a moist hide...do I have to raise humidity or will the 40 plus humid hide be ok?

you should be, I would bump it up during shed, and maybe mist every once and awhile. PVC cages tend to hold humidity for a few days after misting so it isn't as much of a burden as it is with tanks.

40% plus a humid hide is fine. You can mist extra during shed cycles if you like, but that's the beauty of having that humid hide. As long as you're getting complete sheds, you're good.

My breeder females are on newspaper. I mist in the morning and evening. Switching to cypress would help with humidity, if you don't have him of paper for any particular reason.
