    Fl....eas?
So one of my cats had a few flea eggs, some flea dirt and a few adult fleas about a week ago. I treated her, the other two cats and vacuumed the whole house with flea powder.

    Fast forward to...5 minutes ago.

I open up Sable's tub to change his water. And there were fleas in it. I didn't see any in his aspen bedding, but I dumped it all none the less, cleaned the entire thing and gave him paper towel bedding and a new hide. I'm going to run his water dish through the dishwasher.

I didn't see any on him, or anywhere but dead in the water dish - and I am positive they aren't mites. They are most definitely fleas. Should I be worried? I asked google, but I only got stuff on mites. I'm kinda concerned, but I'm not really sure what I can do about it..

Is his water bowl under a heat lamp or light? A trick we used when I was little was to place a lamp over a tub of soapy water on the floor - fleas are attracted to warmth of light, can't reach it when they jump, and fall into soapy water to drown. The fleas might have just been trying to follow the heat signature. And no, fleas that feed on mammals are not going to infest a snake.

Edit: Either way, it sounds like you should treat the house again. A lot of flea treatments don't kill eggs that have already been laid, so the cycle starts all over again.

There isn't a heat lamp, but there is a normal lamp next to Sable's tub. That may be why there were some in his tub, and not in the others on his rack.

    Thanks! :)
