    Finished Incubator help with fan/prob?
I am pretty much done with my incubator and just as the title says I need help on where to put my prob and 2 fans. Here are some pictures, I had a friend cut a one inch line down the side so I could run 1 strip of flex watt.

    Here is one side

I would do opposits if your going with 2 per compartment (IE top right bottom left). You would need something like a herpastat II tho. If your going to run 1 thermastat and keep the wall I would drill some holes and mount the fans over that to move the air from one side to the other.

The third picture is where the 1 inch wide gap is for the heat tape. So there is a pretty big space that opens the 2 compartments. I was thinking if putting one fan on one side blowing down and doing the same on the other side.

I would do like Raverthug said, cut two holes in the center and mount the two fans over them blowing opposite directions.

Sorry for the silly diagram. Best I could do with Paint.

The more air that can get between the two sides the better.

Should be fine as long as there is good air transfer between the two sides. I'd keep a permanent thermometer on the opposite side that you have the probe on to be able to check the temps easily.

Like jsmorphs said. I would put a thermometer on each side to watch. I love the pic but would do the bottom one a bit lower. If your worried about blowing out any insulation go to a local plumber and see if thy have any scraps of 4 inch schedule 40 or DWV pipe. They should give ya a peice if they have it. If not its cheap to find a small peice at home depot or lowes ect. Since you ar running 1 chunk of flex watt and treating it like 1 big space instead of 2 smaller ones you should be good with 1 thermostat.

Ok, and where should I put the probe? On the side of the wall?

I'd put it in a middle egg box. Just label it so you don't forget and pull the probe out with the box.
