    f/t attempt: fail
After four successful live feeds and my little guy nearly doubling his weight, I tried to give him a f/t mouse. I decided to use a separate feeding container until I get to know his personality better. I dangled it, he was intrigued, and struck it! I was so excited I thought for sure this was a success. After a minute of pretend strangulation, however, he dropped it. I thought maybe he was shy, but he made no attempt to revisit the dead mouse.

The next day I got him a live mouse, which he happily swallowed.

I feel like I'm getting closer

In the future, after he rejects it, you might wanna try warming it up again, and offering again. After he coils it, shake it a little to simulate a dying rat. Also, try feesing IN his enclosure...... Try diong this at night, so after he hits it, and you shake it a little, you can turn the lights off and walk away until the next day. If its still there in the morning, wait til next week (feeding time) and try again. If then it dosent work, give live, and try again.

Make sure you do your best to get the heat of the f/t right. It sounds like you did it right (and I know that some don't take) however, I would do the same thing you always do when you feed live next try but concentrate on getting the body temp of the f/t right. Like spooky said, if he rejects just get it out and reheat it. I had the same problem with my pin and figured out the problem was f/t body temp.
