Any of you guys keep reptile related docs?
So I don't remember who's youtube video it was, but the girl was talking about a "reptile binder" or folder or something.. Basically it has her blue-prints to the racks she built, her feed chart, her top secret breeding plans lol. I thought that was an awesome idea so I started compiling one of my own :D.

So far I printed out the bp.net caresheet, a bit of genetics information, some fun facts, and my feed sheets for all my newcomers (they're most likely going to be my breeding group). I also keep business cards from the reptile expos I go to, and the receipts to things I buy at these expos.

Does anyone else keep reptile binders, or something related to paper records? I didn't want to use the PC for reptile keeping because I feel like I wouldn't update it ever... On paper, I feel cool just tracking little tidbits, and re-reading over some of the vast information that this forum, as well as some outside source had to offer.

Just looking for some ideas ^_^. I was thinking of getting pictures of my favorite morphs, but I think that would cost too much money :P:P:P:P

Nice! I was with my sister shopping for binders, and she suggested I go for the smaller binder. I think I'm going to get pictures of my collection and put them into the binder as well =]!! thanks for the idea :D!

I forgot to mention that I also have caresheets and information on my other favorite reptile the crocodile skink! I don't own one, but I looooove them! The reptile store I buy rodents from has some as well as armored skinks, and they're so awesome! One day I will own one =]

I used to have a binder of seahorse info, both downloaded and info on my own tanks and such. I haven't done so with ball pythons somehow. It's a good idea.

This is exactly what I do, except for the breeding part...I just collect. I have the feeding records and growth charts for all the BPs I've ever owned, and several that I've snake sat for. It's cool to go back through it sometimes and see how fast individual snakes made weight gains. I also prey item weights and shed data.

I just put whether it's a fuzzy, small, hopper, etc etc.. I think weights would be cool. As a videogame nerd, I really enjoy stats =]. Justin Kobylka has a sweet "Birthing Stats" page on his website:

When I saw that, I was just awe-struck! Me: WHOAAA!! COOOOL! I have no idea why XD.. It's just so organized, neat, and interesting! Dig the ~50% male to female ratio! That's just the order of nature! haha

My binder isn't super detailed. Just feed, shed, and weight records.

Yes we have a big fatty binder where all of the information about our snakes is kept. not only is it a great way to keep track what's been going on with the snakes, but it has all of the information for each snake so if we ended up stuck out of town for a extended amount of time, a family member or friend would be able to reference it to care for the snakes. Another thing we have started using is Evernote, which is a free program where you can take notes or pictures on your phone, and then access them from any device. That way if we think of something we need or breeding ides etc... we write it down and later can look at those notes from any computer or phone. i also take photos of business cards and then file them in evernote so i don't lose them later.
