    T-Rex Sani-Chips?
Hey everyone, I just went to my pet store to get some aspen and they were out, so I got "T-Rex Sani-chips". Anybody have any experience with it? It says it's good for bps I just wanted to get some opinions on it. How it holds humidity etc.

    Thanks a ton!

I know that some people use it, it isn't one of the widely used substrates. I have heard that it can be a hassle to deal with but I don't have any first hand experience with it.

give it a shot, if you don't like it replace it when it gets dirty with something else. you have to find what works for you.

Yea ive heard of some people using it too. From what i have heard:
Positives- looks nice (well at least better than newspaper), takes away smell pretty well, and it clumps up urine pretty well like cat litter.
Negatives- it can be sorta dusty even though i think its sold supposedly dust free, you go through it faster than aspen or cypress bc so much of it clumps when wet and sticks to urates/poo, and if your bp splashes the water around at all itll get all clumpy and need replacing.

Just repackaged Sani-Chips at a higher rate

I think the normal Sani Chips are a HUGE bag for like 12 dollars

I've never used Sani-Chips, but I have a Bro that tried it. He said it looked great on the enclosure floor, but not so hot in his BP's mouth during feeding time...

I use Aspen Sani- chips. I was getting the 2.2 cu. ft bags at shows for about $13 each. I have a couple of links to online suppliers that I can post when I get home. I would also check local farm and ranch stores, feed stores, or places like Tractor Supply Co. before ordering online. Might save yourself some shipping charges.
