Temperature gun recommendations?

Hello,

So I looking into getting a temp gun. I saw a few different on Amazon.com. The cheapest was like $15 and then the next one is $45 ish. Does anyone know a good one? I don't mind spending $$ on a quality item I just don't want to get ripped off if there all the same,

Any of these will work, just remember that most temp guns are only accurate to +/- 2 degrees

I use these 2...the Fluke being the more accurate, but they are always within 1.5-2 degrees of each other.

Been using it for years, runs on simple AAA batteries, is accurate and easy to use.

Very good very acurate... dont change batery yet and use it for 1.5 year... solid product.

Almost all IR guns are +/-2ºF or worse never expect it to be better as there are simply too many variables to account for to be certain of better.

Thinks to look for are the DS ratio (distance/spot) and the battery type. The DS ratio describes two things the diameter of the reading area and the optimal distance the gun is designed to be used at.

For example a 1:1 is best used at 4 inches
where a 50:1 is best used at 200 inches, For most keepers a 1:1 or 6:1 is the most valuable.

Batteries I personally like easy to get batteries either AAA AA or standard 9v the button and odd ball ones can be a pain to pick up when needed.

We have several of these and they've been reliable.
