    Odd behaviour......
    My Ball is going into a shed, and may not eat......this i know, but when i offered her food anyways as she usually will eat when shedding. She "killed" it and then left it where it was. Now it is my understanding that a ball will not kill unless thay are hungry, but do they also kill out of self defense?

    They sometimes do this, I'm not sure why... it isn't a "defensive" thing though.

    It could be because the rodent wasn't the right temperature. I check my F/T rodents with a temp gun to make sure that they are between 97-100 degrees (body temperature of a rat)
