    semi aquatic garter snakes
well i went fishing and caught a pair of garter snakes. i bred for me once and i realized that they were very easy to breed... i would like to get them the proper setup needed for breeding but the problem is that they are semi aquatic and need water to swim in...

i dont want to provide them with a huge water dish because they are VERY messy and they smell like fish but what will happen if they dont have a huge water dish?...

also, when they had babies it was VERY VERY hard to feed them since they are so skinny. i fed them tiny pieces of catfish but they didnt seem to like it too much..what should i feed them?...

Setup a 50/50 land and water enclosure. Provide a filter pump for the water half to filter out any messes, it will also help with the smell. This way you can also throw fish in the water side and they can get that natural thrill of the hunt, it may encourage them to feed better. Plus the fish wont die in 1 day as they would in a water dish, and the setup would look awesome.

I would also look up gater snake husbandry and do a little research to help you out.

    Good luck!
