Dumb newbie breeding question
Im not really sure how to word this without sounding like a complete idiot... here goes. It seems like everyone that breeds uses tubs, but i don't like tubs i like to watch my snakes ( i know i'm weird) I'm looking at picking up 3 t8 animal plastic cages with the center divider 6 snakes total. Has anyone had luck breeding in anything other than tubs??
Re: Dumb newbie breeding question
You only need to put the snakes in the tubs for a few hours while they lock. Most snakes won't lock when they feel exposed, so tubs are a good idea. After a few locks, just move the female back into her tank and do whatever you want with the male.
(Breed him again, put him back. Should have clarified this, there are some crazy people out there...)

I figure if I need to make them feel more secure in my T8's I will just put a towel or sheet over the front.
Re: Dumb newbie breeding question
They'll breed fine in cages, tanks, or tubs. The reason you see a lot of talk of breeding in tubs is because most people breeding have collections that they house in racks, which is more convenient/efficient for housing many snakes. Regardless of what you're keeping them in, if you provide a proper environment, they will feel secure.
