Cold side hide/toilet. Should I remove it? *Leopard Gecko*
Two of my geckos have chosen their cold side hides to be the place where they poop. Should I just remove these hides? They are never in them and I'm not sure they would go in them if they just poop in there anyway.

Leos tend to deficate in the same spot, so if they actually aren't "using" the hide, no reason to have it there other than something else to clean :)

Funny, we are fairly new to leos, and I have noticed that they have a specific "toilet" area. Kinda funny, but makes cleaning easier, lol.

Even with a breeding colony(1.5), mine all tend to use the same spot. Alot of the time it is the farthest spot from the main hide(makes sense)!

leave the hide in the cage just move it away from where they have opted to make the toilet. They need a cool hide you might not see them in there a lot but they most likely do go in from time to time.

Just move the hide away from that spot, generally you can create a "litter box" and place extra/more/put paper towels there and spot clean as you please.

Mine tend to poop on "that side" of the enclosure, so I just replace that set of paper towels.
