Couple Lavender Albino questions
I'm hoping to add a Lavender this year. I've seen the pics and they are beautiful. I just haven't seen any in person. Just a couple of questions for those who have them or are knowledgeable on lavenders.
1. Who is making/breeding really nice lavenders?
2. How do you tell a nice lavender from a not so nice lavender? I've seen the adults and it is pretty obvious (high yellows and deep lavenders). But what about the hatchlings? My understanding of the lavender is that it colors up as it ages. It could be the quality of the pictures or maybe they don't photograph as well, but in the hatchling photos I've seen they all look similar. What do you look for in a lavender hatchling that gives you an idea of the quality of adult it will be?
This is going to be a big pick up for me, so I want to make sure I get something really nice.
Thanks in advance for any advice!
Re: Couple Lavender Albino questions
I'll second the recommendation of Larry Suttles. His lavender male is producing some killer visual babies. Brandon Boeke of Priceless Pythons has some nice genes, too. He had Excalibur before the Whitmers did. I'd recommend Grant in the top five too, but sadly he's recently lost his entire collection to a fire. :(

The King Ralph Davis also has some amazing Lav's and knows plenty about them. Send him an email he love's his Lav's.;)
