    Lets give thanks
So I have noticed that there seem to be a few people who will always give you a thank to your if you post to them or their thread. I try to when ever I enjoy a post or if its very helpful. I have noticed lots of people just reply thanks, rather than giving thanks. Shouldn't we all give proper thanks? Or maybe people don't know about doing that? Or maybe they really just wanted to say thanks not give them, idk?

I agree. If you thank someone for a post that's a personal thanks. A blanket thanks is ok but I think giving thanks shows a little more appreciation.

When I'm at work I can only hit the Thanks Button because the version of Explorer my office uses won't let the Rep Bar come up. When I'm home, I like to use the Rep Bar.

I was just wondering about it. Like I said there seems to be a few people who thank a lot. Was wondering if people didn't know about it, or just don't bother with.

Depends on what it is. If I've posted pictures and I receive compliments, I usually type out a thanks, but if I've posted a question or concern and people take time to help me out I always use the thanks button. And when it comes to discussions (about snake legislation, debates on the best feeding schedules, etc) I use the thanks button as the 'like' button, thanking replies that I think are insightful or deserve recognition.

I tend to give my thanks to posts I find truly helpful or insightful or is something I can truly appreciate...sometimes for a post that is witty and caters to my sense of humor or just flat out makes me laugh...I don't like giving them out like they're candy on Halloween, almost cheapens them a little, IMO.

I usually give rep points to posts that I find really informative or helpful. I usually thank the posts that I like or enjoy.
