    Urgent feeding question
Just put live mouse in juviniles cage. He is cruising around a bit but not going after mouse. It has been 15 minutes. How much longer can I leave it in for?

It seems like he is slowly stalking but the mouse sees him and scurries away and he just looks around slowly like he can't see anything.

Does he usually eat live mice, and is he usually quick to strike? He might be intimidated by the mouse if it is moving around a lot or is larger than usual.

I'm not sure what the general time you should leave a (supervised, of course) mouse with a BP since I don't feed live. Just make sure you watch very closely to make sure there's no biting/scratching going on. I would say no longer than an hour.

Good luck. Hope he eats. If not, don't worry too much, and try again in 5-7 days.

Thanks. I got him a month ago and had trouble with frozen thawed. I figured instead of going more than 3 weeks I would try a live mouse and he actually just struck at it finally and took it. He was supposovly on FT when I get him although I bought him at PETCO like a dummy so who knows. I'm going to try to switch him over I just wanted to make sure he ate once in his new setup.
