    Unexpected surprise
I've had this girl for a little over 2 months ( still in QT ) and when I went down this morning to check on everybody, this is what I found....

The person I got her from had said she had locked up with the male pastel I got from them as well, but I honestly wasn't expecting anything since she was a bit skinny and small anyway, barely 1000 grams. But she laid nice looking eggs.

Unfortunately, since I wasn't expecting eggs anytime soon, I don't even have an incubator on. But I set the tub of eggs in a spare tub in the rack and turned the incubator on before I left for work. It should be warmed up by the time I get home :please:

Congrats! That must be exciting waiting to see what the sire was!!! Although you did say she was bred to a Pastel. Still fun!

P.s. I think I would have left the eggs with mom until the 'Bator is up to temp. Just my opinion.

Oh!! That's exciting! Congrats on the surprise clutch! Hopefully you get at least a couple pretty little babies out of those eggs. :)

Haha, definite surprise! The eggs should be fine for a ew hours while your incubator warms up. I was out of town when one of my girls laid last year, and I'm pretty sure she was on them (newspaper substrate) for 48 hours before I found them. They were pretty dehydrated and stayed dimpled throughout incubation, but hatched all healthy babies.
