incubator?

ok well im going to be making a incubator and i was looking them up on youtube and i was looking around and they all have fans and i was wondering whats the point of it. if its because you need to serculate air would opening the incubator once a week be enough?

I believe that the fans help to keep the temperature constant throughout the incubator (so the top isn't hotter than the bottom)

The point of having small fan inside is to evenly distribute the heat coming off the heat tape so you keep a consistant tempature throughout the incubator.

will it work if i have the heat tape even down the back of the mini fridge im using for the incubator

are you asking if you will need a fan or if the heat tape placement will work?

more if it will work without a fan

you could probably make it work without a fan but... why not just get an AC rack fan and call it a day
