best cheap thermostat and one other question
What have people had luck with that is relatively inexpensive at keeping the temps accurate? Also I need to add more humidity to my cage so can i put a much larger water bowl in there? I assume bp cant drown since there bodies are pretty strong.

Of all available, what is your preference?

Cheap means there will be temps fluctuation.
Cheap means you'll have to replace it a lot sooner than a reliable thermostat.
Rehostat or dimmer is not something I recommend long term and if your room is not stable year round this mean adjusting the temps daily even sometimes more than once daily.
Thermostat are very important something where no one should cut corners the animal's safety depends on it but yours as well as a cheap thermostat and or a heat source not properly controlled can become a fire hazard as well.
I would never recommend anything less than Ranco or Johnson on the low end (those are on and off t-stat) or Herpstat, Helix, and now Vivarium Electronics

Almost 2 years ago, I lost my entire collection due to a malfunction with one of the best T-Stats money can buy. I lost my snakes, but didn't burn down my apartment building. I'm glad I didn't have a cheap T-Stat, or the outcome could have been much worse.
With-in reason, you really do get what you pay for.

We have a herpastat. Can't remember what model, would have to ask Hubby.
