    Nature Spirit Incubator - Questions
I'm about to order my Nature Spirit Incubator, and I had a few questions.
(My dad doesn't trust our DIY incubator...)

Do I have to add any type of heat source (flexwatt etc) or does it come built in? Because I know the fan is built in. Alls I need to do is plug it into a thermostat right?

And to who ever has used it, is it reliable? Any issues, problems, dislikes?

Lastly is it worth the $425? I'll end up ordering either way though since I haven't found any other reputable incubator makers and I need to order is asap because its a 3+ week wait.

I have seen them at my local reptile show. The ones that I have looked at had the heat already in them. You do still need a thermostat though. If you email them I am sure that they will give you any information that you may need. When I talk to them at the show they were very helpful.

They seemed nicely built and looked like a quality unit.

Yes ofcourse, I have a VE thermostat. I just read on their website they wont be shipping them out anytime soon when I tried to order one..

I wonder how long the wait will be. I cant find any other incubators to purchase..

I would give them a call. I know that they almost always have at least one at the local show that I go to. Maybe they have a few laying around. At least they would be able to give you the lead time.

Animal Plastics makes an incubator... it costs more ($799) but can hold 16 clutches. I don't know how long it takes them to get to you, but AP makes great products.

I've got a natures spirit incubator that I've had now for about 7 or 8 years I think? It came with everything complete, heat, fan, etc. I've had to replace the fan once, but I was able to find the exact same model on line and it was real easy to replace. The only time I ever had any problems with it was when I was remodeling our house, I had the incubator in a cold part of the basement. It didn't work very well there. Now that it's in my herp room it doesn't have to work so hard to stay warm and it's been very stable. I've hatched hundreds of ball pythons out of that thing.

Habitat Systems sells incubators. They aren't cheap but they are industry leaders on incubators if you ask me. I know Garrick Demeyer from the Crested Gecko uses them. Check them out.
