!&%?! power outage

OK. Last night, I awoke around 2 Am to find my house was freezing cold. Seems the power had gone off around 11 pm! Of course, in our house the electricity runs the heat (forced air.) My man went to try and hook up our kerosene heater, only to find that we were out of fuel for it...
our house got pretty chilly, into the mid 60s, before the power came back on around 430 AM. I checked on all the snakes, and they all seemed OK.
I HATE power outages! I was just about to bring the darn snakes into bed with us for warmth! Luckily it did not last that long, but still.

Were you having storms or did the power just go out? Glad to hear everything is ok!

glad to here everything is ok...i have this icechest type set up with heat packs just incase the power goes out. Then I dont really have to worry as much

Where did you get those heat packs? That's a good idea to have set up just in case of an emergency!

any walmart should have them. They are usually in the sporting goods section. Actually right now and at the end of hunting season is the best time to check. Since the weather is warming up, they mark prices down alot so you can get them pretty cheap.
