Wine cooler probe hole. Can I drill through the top?
Will it matter if i drill a small hole though the top of my wine cooler for the temp probe? Wasn't sure if it had to be drilled through the back for any specific reason. Sounds like a stupid question, but I seen many of little things mess projects up.

I would just make sure that it doesn't yank at any wires when you open and close the door, is all.

We're in the process of making a wine cooler incubator, too. So I'm very glad to see all these threads regarding them :P

Should have the fans by Wednesday. I think we are going to just drill one single hole in the back-middle of our cooler. The fans we are getting are external USB fans, so they will be plugged into something like an iPhone charger to go directly to the wall. We're going to drill the hole and put the fan wires, Flexwatt wires, and Herpstat probe through the same hole and then seal it up with expanding foam or something like that.

I'm going to wire the flexwatt through the cooler...Like, snip & strip the wires, insert from the outside in, and then solder the connections. That Way I think we can get away with a very small hole in the back. We've also got to find a way to seal up the holes where the freon lines used to be.

    Good luck with your project!

Yeah I made the mistake of having my tape pre-made with the cord already connected. So I had to drill a big hole to fit the plug through. I am going to fill it up with insulation the fill it in with the spray insulaton and tape over that. I drilled a small home on top to run the thermostat and temp probe. Ordered the thermostat and simms container. Going to do a test run when they arrive.
