Re: feeding problem again
Hi, I have a young BP something like her. What i do is offer, once it strikes and constrics, ill shake the F/T prey to simulate a dying rat. After the snake lets go, and does not eat it, ill put the prey back in hot water, and offer again. After about 2 or 3 times of doing this, it will finaly take it and eat it. It has gotten better over time. Usualy i just need to do the routine once before he'll eat.
spooky
Re: feeding problem again
At first the few times this happened she did take it when I heated it and gave it again, but not eat it. Now she don't take it the second time offered. It seems she will always strike, but only eat when ready to eat. Most you know if they want to eat because if they dont they dont strike.
I just want to know what schedule is best for her.

She's not getting skinny. She in fact gained 30 grams in the last few weeks and slowly gaining weight. I dont worry about her not eating enough I just can't figure out a schedule to fit her so I don't waste all these rats.

By the way Mr Spooky what morph if any is yours? I have an experienced friend who tells me that albinos have a tendency to do that, and mine happens to be an albino.
