    Best phone call ever
I forgot I had an order coming in from RodentPro today, so I was a little unprepared for my apartment complex to call me. When you can't be there to receive a package FedEx or UPS will leave it at the office for you. This is the voice mail I because I don't usually answer my cell phone at work:
"Hi Rebecca, this is Mark from <insert my apartment complex name here>. You have a package in the office that is marked as perishable. It appears to be some kind of frozen meat, I'm sure there is an interesting story behind it... uh.. it's probably something for your snake..."

It goes on from there about how he wanted to make sure I knew it was there so it didn't spoil. When I went to go and pick it up, I had an interesting conversation with them. They were taking guesses at how many where in the box and what exactly it was. They were close guessing 250, but there were 315 rats in my order. :D

I really do live in a super pet friendly apartment and now the office guy has an interesting story to tell his friends about how he received a box full of frozen rats. :D

And because no story is complete without pictures, here is my freezer after I put the rats away. (I'm really glad I didn't order a 4 month supply like I had planned, only half of them would have fit. :P)

Rats and ice cream - what more could a girl want. :D (that's pretty much all that is in my freezer, there are a few pieces of chicken in the ice bucket, but that's about it.)

That's great! I happened to be home last week when my Rodentpro order delivered. The Fedex lady said, "What on EARTH is this for?! This is, like, the third one of these I've delivered today!" THe cool thing is, she was much less bothered by the pet snake explanation that the rats themselves! I should have asked for addresses so I could make new friends... :P

95% of my collection takes f/t very easily. I open their tubs and they are right there looking for it, no zombie dance required. The few that do require a little work still take it pretty quickly so I can't imaging feeding live would save me much time with my collection. I also do tough love with mine. If they don't take it when I leave it in overnight then it's their loss. It's only when they start to lose weight that I will crack and feed. I can't bred my own feeders, so live cost me significantly more than frozen. :(
