    bedding ?
This is my first year breeding and i was trying to figure out what type of substrate people use for gravid females to keep the humidity up. I was using some stuff cant remember the name of it at the moment but it started to grow mold on it so i took it all out and put paper back down like i had it before. Im thinking about letting her maternaly incubate herself since this will b her first year. What does everyone use?

I was using paper towels, recently switched over to unprinted newspaper and either was fine. If anything, I'd just give them a quick misting here and there.

I was using cypress... Recently switched to aspen... Don't like it. I will be going back to cypress next week. Holds humidity A LOT better, is way cheaper and is just a better substrate I think

Cypress is the best for humidity. But make sure you get 100% cypress. Alot of cypress you find at nerserys is a cypress blend and in some cases ive seen it blended with pine and cedar so make sure you get pure cypress. If you can find kambark thats the best. Its not as chunky as others

I get about 3 by 3 cubic foot bags of cypress mulch for 5$ from Taylor do it yourself center in Va. But you could get it from any hardware store or gardening store they have in your area I suspect. It's a little "chunky" but it holds humidity better than anything else I have used and is super cheap.
