Rodent Pro Rats and Dry Ice??
I ordered 30 frozen rats from Rodent Pro and they shipped on Tuesday (March 29th) and was scheduled delivery at my house Thrusday (March 31st). I was home all day yesterday and they didn't show up, I went on their website to check the tracking and it went to the ups tracking and said that delivery was changed cause unable to get signature from the receiving person (ME). It was pouring down rain all day Thursday and I was home but no UPS. So it said that it was rescheduled for Friday (April 1st). So today, my wife and I had to work and I left a note on the front door to please place my package around behind the house by the back door. My wife got home from work and the note was still on the front door and still no package. I got home and checked the tracking and this time it said that it was an incorrect address and it is rescheduled for Monday (April 4th). UPS has shipped to to my house before from Rodent Pro. Now, my question is, how long will they stay frozen in that dry ice??? If I get them Monday and they are thawed out from sitting in their warehouse all weekend and being boxed up from Tuesday the 29th then I'm going to be very mad. And I'll be contacting UPS to settle up with some more frozen rats. So, how long can they go like that for them still be ok??? Thanks.

I wouldn't keep your hopes up .... Try giving Kevin at Rodent Pro a call and see if there's is anything he can do for you. I know he's always done right by customers that I've talked to that had shipping problems.

Re: Rodent Pro Rats and Dry Ice?? UPDATE!!!
Well, I finally got my rats from Rodent Pro yesterday and they were totally thawed out, really mushy and had a very strong odor. I called Kevin at RP and explained what was going on and he told me that he would replace them and send me some more out today. When UPS finally decided to show up they told my wife that they couldn't get to my house because my road was washed out. We've had lots of rain and I live about a half mile down a clay road. Well, my wife and I both drove our cars in and out during this time to go to work and my wife drives a Camaro Z28, so if she can get in and out cerainly a UPS truck can. Anyway, I can't say enough about Kevin and Kelli's service. And none of this is their fault. I'd recommend doing business with them anytime.

Well, I got a medium rat from a local pet store while I was waiting on my shipment from RP. And Junior (my BP) took it with no problems. I ordered 20 small rats and 10 medium rats. When I opened it up to check the status I noticed the small rats was smaller than I expected. So I asked Kevin if he could send me the 10 medium and however many more mediums I could get for the same price that I already paid him. He said that he's sending me 30 medium rats and no extra charge. Junior is a year old and a little over 3 feet. The medium rat I got from the pet store and the other medium rats from RP was just a bit larger than his largest girth.
