    since BP's are nocturnal would it be better to handle them at night? or during the day when there a bit more tired

    I haven't ever noticed a difference between night and day. if they are already cruising around the tank you might be better off vs pulling them out of their hide.

    I handle mine at all hours of the day. I have no set time. The only time that I don't handle animals in my collection is for 48 hours after feeding.

    My personal rule of thumb is that if the sun is shining, I only handle them if I have to for hubandry reasons. Once the sun goes down, it's on like Donky Kong.

    There really are no hard and fast rules, and your mileage may vary.

    I only handle mine during the day when I do a day time enclosure cleaning. The rest of the time I hold them at night. I read some where that if you are having feeding issues don't disturb them during the day. They are nocturnal they sleep during the day. Us humans sleep at night I don't know about you but I'm not to happy when woke up in the middle of the night. That's just my 2 cents worth not telling anybody what to do :)
