First year breeding question

Both of my girls seem to have follicles that feel like a row of at least 5 large ( 1 inch-ish) marbles in each. I'll palpate again after they potty, but I'm pretty sure that aint poop or urates :oops:

They are also in shed. My question is if this is likely both of their pre ovulation sheds?


Background info-
Up until the last couple weeks they have been eating ravenously (more so than normal) and now their food aggression is slackening.

Both have been visibly locking up with a male since November and have been seen bowl wrapping at least parts of their body with good frequency.

Both shed just about a month ago.

I would imagine, if you are feeling follicles in the 1 inch range I would imagine they should be ovulating anytime now, not 100% but that seems pretty large

Let me double check the size, its tough to tell but it feels like a string of big pearls

Edit- Your right- I'm a bit off, they feel at least 1/2 an inch if not 3/4". My ladies don't appreciate me feeling up their tummies lol

It sounds like a pre-ov shed, in general they ovulate at 44mm or the size of a golf ball.
