    help!!!
I just got my second bp from a neighbor. I've noticed she has some black gunk around her mouth. I've looked up mouth rot and from the pics it looks different. I am not new to snake ownership but am no expert. She won't eat and her mouth seems sore. I just want her to be healthy. any ideas? I do have a call into a vet just waiting for a call back. Could it be mites? I did get some mite spray and sprayed her and her bedding and tank, her mouth looks better. Just want my baby better. any ideas would be gladly accepted.
    thanks:(

what type of mite spray did you use and did it say that it could be sprayed directly on the animal?

    Pictures would e very helpful.

Also you are following proper quarantine procedures correct?

    Can you provide pictures?

Have you tried soaking your snake? If its mites, some will come off.
But from your description, it doesn't really sound like mites

If her mouth is sore, i highly doubt it is mites. You should definately bring it to the vet, don't delay! Delaying can be a death sentance, not to frighten you. Better to know what is going on, then to treat everything that it COULD be.
