Planning for next year and new to breeding
So I have kept Ball Pythons for a few years and I am wanting to start breeding next year. I currently have 1 Pastel female that is ~700 grams and a Normal Female that is ~1100 grams. Can i have them both at a breeding weight by next year? Also I just purchased '11 hatches that are both males. A 170 gram Mojave and a 110 gram Pinstripe. Is it feasible to have them at breeding weight by next season? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Re: Planning for next year and new to breeding
Yes and yes. Assuming they keep feeding through the season you shouldnt have any problems getting the females to breeding weight.
You have a good shot with the males too (I have a 325g male breeding for me this year and a have had a 375g male breed for me a few years ago). However, some males need to be bigger before they are interested. Most are breeding by 500g (though my pewter made me wait until he was over 800g).
