Where in the world has Judy been?!?
Sooo...obviously I haven't been gone completely because the contests have been up and running and updated. And I do manage to answer a thread here and there and do a bit of work behind the scenes. But the last few months have been CRAZY for me and I'd kind of gone into hiding a bit just to try and keep up with it all. It's been a very good kind of crazy, though...
Back in November, I was contacted by Robyn Markland of ProExotics and SYR. Long-story-short, after some answering of questions, explanations and excited conversations, I was hired to help in the development of and to be the Chief Editor of The Reptile Report. That is a project I have been super excited about since then, and have put in a LOT of hours working with Robyn and Chad Brown and their team to build the site and get it ready for its debut on Feb 1st. If you haven't checked it out yet, please do. It's pretty danged cool, even if I do say so myself!
So that has kept me pretty busy. Since the launch, things have settled down into a more predictable routine and I should be able to spend more time here without having to hide. Unless I'm working. :P
Also..where in the world have I been? I been to LA! :D I had the privilege of flying out and attending the Super Show at Pomona. Heather Wong (Lady Ooh) was gracious enough to let me crash at her place. Thank you again Heather!! And Raul Campos (West Coast Jungle) threw a great party and was my handsome taxi driver from and to the airport. :sunny: I also got to meet and hang out with Tim Johnson (Royal Morphz) and his lovely wife. There were a number of other BP.netters I got to meet as well and if I tried to name them all, I'd surely leave someone out.
I took a number of pictures, but there must have been something wrong with my camera because most of them turned out really bad and I was so bummed. But here are a few pictures that Raul took. His pics turn out great!
A huge, stunningly beautiful false water cobra that belongs to wilomn...

She was a joy to hold until she crawled through my necklace.
And then, as if all that wasn't excitement enough for my life, on the 31st of January, my husband was promoted to a full Colonel in the USAF. I can't begin to tell you how proud I am of him. There simply aren't words...

Sooo, there you have it. And lots more busy-ness ahead as I continue to work hard for TRR and plan for yet another move this summer. There's house hunting trips, moving, Wing Commander's school for both Dean and I, my sister's wedding, and hopefully another trip to California in the fall. :D
But I'll try to come out of hiding from time to time.... ;)
