I have a baby normal bp I just got her on Friday of last week, apparently she was starting the shedding process, her eyes turned back normal today, was wondering should I wait till she sheds to feed her or feed her now????? thanks in advance.

    feeding while shedding
well i think it just depends on ur snake .some will eat while shedding and some wont.mine eats sometimes while he is shedding but alot of the times other snakes wont just because they cant see as good, but if u wait a day of two he or she will shed because soon as their eyes go clear again after turning blue they will shed two to three days after and might i suggest putting a bowl big enough for him or her to get into to soak

if you just got her I'd wait. make sure the the humidity in her tank is at least 70%

Wait for sure. I have had snakes eat during the first few days after their eyes turn blue, but feeding in the later stages of shed can cause regurgitation, which is not something you want to risk.

There is a slight risk to the snake feeding during shed and many will not feed during shed cycles anyway I would not bother a missed meal or two presents no risk to a healthy animal.

Source on how feeding during shed can lead to problems? Not saying it isn't true, just never heard that before.

I would wait too. She should shed within a few days. Make sure humidity is 70. I like to put damp, not sopping spaghum moss in their hide. Gives them something to rub against as well. It shouldn't hurt her to wait until after shed to eat. Congrats on your new baby! They are so fun and addictive :D
