    PVC cage with lights
I'm getting a PVC cage but it has no lights. Can I put in my own light? If so is it hard?

It is very easy. Just get a fluorescent light fixture that can be mounted to a wall/ceiling with screws. Then mark where you want the light, then stick some screws in. The hardest part will be drilling a hole large enough to get the cord out... While still preventing the snake from being able to get out.

I was thinking that 2. Maybe I could drill the hole and have the light covering the hole by having the cord kinda bend around towards the middle of the light.

If I don't use any light at all will that be ok?

That's how the ap cages are set up

This is why I prefer AP cages... If I'm going to spend that kind of money on a cage I want it ready to go.

The cage will be very dark without any lights, your snake will like it but you won't be able to see him.

So the ap cages come with light fixtures already?

It costs $20 extra but they are already installed. (you will pay at least $15 for a light fixture anyway)

    I get 2 in mine

The only thing I don't like is shipping prices...the 1 I was looking at is 130 and I'm picking it up at a expo

AP even routes a channel for the cord

This is how I see it, a ball python will live for 20+ years. I'd rather spend a little more now and by happier with my cages than save a few $$ now and either spend more later or have to rig things to get them the way that I want.

Also if AP is going to a show near you they will bring the cage with them and you don't have to pay for shipping

*I don't know what shows they go to and you have to order the cage in advance do they can have time to make it before the show.
