    First time breeding help?
I have been pairing my normal male and normal female. I have seen them lock a couple of times but for days at a time. The last 2 days she has been in the water bowl and won't come out for anything. She is completely under exsept for her head and she has looks like a brick house. I have read almost every thing I can find and I read about them curling around the water bowl and rolling over on their backs but not soaking for days. The humidity and everything is fine. She hasn't gone through pre lay shed so I am way confused. When is she going to lay and what is she doing?

Are you 100% sure that she doesn't have mites?

That's a good sign. Most of my girls will soak a few weeks before ovulation.

Number one key to breeding is....learning to wait. When breeding season comes around I go crazy my wife calls me the worst "crack addict" she's ever seen but then when it's over I'm depressed because I love seeing eggs and little babies but just breath and wait all u can do

I wish there were more herp groups that got together. It probably sounds dorky but I was in 4H and I loved talking to people that had the same interest. Where I live though I don't know of any groups like that and the closest shows or expo's are 6.5 hours away. That way people could ask questions and get info.
