plastic enclosure size and brand help
hey im in the market for a new cage for rocky, cuz the glass tank is getting a little small and i want to get an enclosure that would work for the rest of his life. Do you guys have any recommendations on sizes and what brands you have used and are the best?

I use and love the Animap Plastics T8. The T8 is 48"x24"x12". I use a divider to house 2 Ball Pythons that are less than a year old, then remove the divider and let 1 Ball have the whole thing once they are big enough.

These are 2 of my AP cages. the one on the top is a T8 and the one on the bottom is a T12. I have the T12 for my Carpet Python

I can post more pictures or answer any questions that you have if you are interested.

I have also been procrastinating on making the same exact post.

I have a young unsexed normal ball which is in a glass cage, and its so hard to keep humidity and temps up so its definitely time to upgrade to a cage for reptiles, not fish lol...

I have been searching for plastic snake enclosures on the net and have come across a few different websites.

    PMHerps.com
    boaphileplastics.com
    herpcages.com
repti-racks.com - this is the one I've been looking into the most in the 30x23x12 or the 35x23x12 ultra series plastic cage.

i was also wondering what the biggest size cage i would need to provide enough room for the rest of his life and to be comfortable, but not overkill where he will feel not feel secure at all. I am unsure if it is a male or female so I would like to provide as much room suitable for a female to be safe. I plan on providing many hides to help avoid this as he/she grows into the cage. (i need to get "it" sexed so i can actually call it a him or her lol for now i refer to it as a him)

has anyone had any experience with any of the other brands other than Animal Plastics??

Trust me, I have 5 AP enclosures, they are the way to go. 48"x24"x12" is the perfect cage size.

Temps and humidity are extremely consistent with AP cages. I use Eco-Earth as my substrate and the humidity stays perfect.
