There's so much BS in that article I don't know where to start. I wish I could comment on that site but it won't let me sign up. LOL!

That was ridiculous...it made me a little mad. I hate it when people who have no knowledge on anything pretend they are experts....and not gonna lie, when I saw Peta I thought of Peta from The Hunger Games :D

She has no credibility. No proof to back up what she says. Obviously never bothered to come into contact with a snake either. Either way, im not surprised.

Thanks for posting this! Although it is a really horrible article, it's nice to read all the comments completely debunking every aspect of it. Call me an optimist but I think anyone who reads that article with half a brain will know which side is telling the truth.

Everyone knows PETA is nuts; I mean, they tried to make tofu out of George Clooney's sweat for Pete's sake! Clooney was quoted as saying [in response to PETA's plans] "As a mammal, I'm offended."

Of course she is a writer for PETA!!! ugh. PETA is so ridiculous, though I agree with her statement, "Who 'NEEDS' a pet anaconda?" I know she also said boas and pythons, but those are okay in my eyes. Anacondas are massive snakes and I honestly don't see the point in owning one. I have always loved snakes but for me owning a snake is a learning experience. It's not just a "pet" it's education. The more I learn about snakes the more I want to share my knowledge and inform others of them.

She really has no clue what she is talking about. If the ban is only banning transportation from one state to another I honestly don't see the point of the ban because people can still own them and do what they want with them. May be harder to get this way but people WILL still have them. Unless they make a species illegal to OWN the ban to me has little effect. Here in California, ferrets are illegal to own because the state is afraid people will release them like they do cats and they will just breed and breed and destroy wildlife. I personally think that's crazy. Ferrets should not be illegal. And snakes should be able to be transported where they need to go without fuss.

I dislike PETA. =/ I dislike laws that make amazing animals illegal.

Well, no one NEEDS a pet anaconda but no one NEEDS Ball Pythons either. It's a want and a luxury to have these animals as pets (if not every animal except maybe service animals).

It's a matter of preference and just because I personally don't want an anaconda doesn't mean I'm going to frown upon the guy down the street that does. It's that kind of thinking that's hurting this industry.

Wow. That, is amazing. That makes me mad too. Obviously she is a half wit that just doesn't have a clue. Perhaps she has never enjoyed a pet. Sad for her. Just a shame though, that other ignorant people will read it, and get wrong ideas planted in their heads about snakes.

Some people just need to be more informed than she is. I have a few suggestions.

1. I think they need to change their name from PETA to PITA because they are a pain in all of ours.

And

2. If they want to ban all of these things then I think we should all follow them around with cameras and take pics when they decide to take a bite of that hamburger or chicken or that pork chop.

I mean if they want to go all out about living things then they shouldn't even be eating fruits and veggies I mean those are living things too right? Next thing you know they won't want us to cut grass because it will be in pain from the lawn mower. When will it end. Sorry I rambled a bit.

These things shouldnt come as a surprise to anyone. Peta has just as many views on their agenda as we have on ours. It is rediculous but they have always done thisand will always do it. The have so much support and so much money that we will never get rid of them. Attacking them with anger will do nothin but give them ammo. They may not sound like they know anyhing but they kow exactly what they are doing. They are putting a spin on the subject so their supporters will follow. Its no different then the nra and its opposition. All we can do is fight through education, awarness and political lobbying. We will never win a money driven pissing match with these idiots.
