    with all the egg posts...
I have a question, next year I plan on attempting to bread my BPs what I want to know is do any of you let mom do the incubating or do you all take the eggs out after the photo's ? Reason I ask is a friend of mine found 12 little beared dragons running around her tank yesterday afternoon and she was totaly unaware her dragons had mated. We investigated and found out that hte eggs had been laid in the tank and covered up by the female. So I was wondering if I should take them or let mom do her thing?

I incubate all of my eggs manually. This way I can get mom cleaned up and back on food immediately rather than wait the extra 60 days. Whether I decide to breed her or not the following year, I feel that the sooner I get nutrition into her body the better off she will be long term.

Ball python eggs are not as hardy as bearded dragon eggs and even if you let your females maternally incubate their eggs, you still have to "tweak" your environment to ensure maximum success.

I agree with Adam the female above that just laid eggs for me is allready back feeding while her eggs are incubateing away. Breeding is allready taxing on their bodies ,If there is a way I can help get them through the whole deal a little easier ..Im going to choose that route
BTW If your friend hasent allready get those beardies out !
