Two new rescues. *Poss. Disturbing*
The story behind these boas is kind of weird. I contacted the guy looking to purchase his albino burm. He told me it is gone and he just had two boas left. So out of curiosity I asked about them. He said "female is 12 feet and like 85 lbs and the male is 9 feet and about 40 lbs." It didnt sound right to me and as we talked I realized this guy had no idea what he was doing. We worked out a deal where I could come down and pick up some cages as well as the two boas because they needed homes immediately. If not he would "have to kill them." We go down to his house and they are tucked in a back room that was freezing and only had two lights that had 12 and 25 watt bulbs in them. While talking to the guy he told me the burm had died from what he called a RI. I call it neglect. I looked at the big female (that i think is a nicaraguan) and she has the chin of a shed stuck on her, no bedding and the cages havent been cleaned in forever. She also had no water and her nose is rubbed almost raw. I looked at the male, he is definitely not a normal, almost looks like a salmon. But he is very dehydrated and also had no water, no heat and a stuck shed. He turned his head and his nose is completely rubbed off and he was barely moving. His tail was infected nad is now black and has old sheds stuck on it. I am trying my best to provide for these two and bring them back to health. I brought them home, gave them heat, clean cages and fresh water. I also helped the female shed and as it got to her vent I pulled on a piece of shed and pulled about an inch and a half of dead skin out of her vent. Anyway, here are some pics of them. They're in real bad shape, bu improving everyday. Big girl ate as well. If you have any idea what the two of them are please let me know.

Re: Two new rescues. *Poss. Disturbing*
Aint Rescue fun :) I got a Boa from the shelter a few weeks ago, solid six feet and 6.6 lbs....SKINNY, but otherwise healthy. I soak my hurt ones in a water collodial silver solution, and when I mist them and their tanks I use the same collodial silver solution. I do not let them drink it, or offer it as a drink because I am not sure if it would hurt the intestinal flora and digestibility of the gut. I inject prey items with b 12 b complex and stuff a childrens vitamin in the mouth of the rodent and if I must feed live I give the rodent a gummy childrens vitamin right before I give them to the snake. Antibiotic ointment on the open wounds can help keep infection down as well. Offer good hiding places to reduce stress. Other than that what you are doing is what I do. Good luck and I hope they do well.
