    Helix dbs 1000 thermostat question...
    Its been running great for around 4 months since i got it..now im noticing that it is reading 99 to 100 on the helix. it is set for 94..the probe is on the heat tape and the tub was always 89 to 92 hot side...but now it is rising to 96 to 98...what is going on....please help..thanks Richie Boo

    I suggest contacting Jeff Washburn, owner of Helix Controls (support@helixcontrols.com) and explaing the problem to him.

    He is great for support and would be able to troubleshoot better than anyone.

    I had a similar situation going on last year with a helix so i switched it with a johnsons i had laying around just to see if the helix was the problem. Turned out it was the flexwatt going bad and was having hot spot issues so i replaced the flexwatt and fixed the problem

    I talked to Jeff and honestly i was more confused than when i started....he is a great guy but im not the smartest kid around the block and he started shooting numbers to me and i got really confused ......so in the long run i think the 11 inch heat tape im using is on the fritz....so im going to 4 inch tape....
