2 1/2 months no shed?

My 7 month old normal hasn't shed since the end of November 2011. I'm not really worried because everything about her seems normal: good feeding, good temps, humidity is golden, and she be pooping like a champ. I'm just a little curious if a young ball python usually goes so long in between sheds? I read somewhere that 4-8 weeks is normal for a young growing BP.

As of now it appears she is nowhere near her next shed. No blue phase, no abnormally long hiding sessions. Thoughts?

How much does she weigh?

What type and size food item are you feeding her?

Weighs 127g and I'm feeding her frozen hopper mice once every 5 days. Thinking of moving to next size up. I think she's way underweight but I'm feeding regularly and she eats every time. She just isnt beefing up like I expected. Nor is she shedding as much as I thought.

my 7 month old is around 500 grams, I would start feeding adult mice every 5 days.

I would up the size. You should be feeding almost 20 grams. I know most hoppers I got were only about 9 grams.

I know I was under feeding mine until I found this site I was giving mine small adults and they were about 250grams I have since up it to med to large and are taking between a 20 and 30 grams every Friday. They have gained a little over 50 grams in about a month. I am weighing them about every 2 weeks and weighing the mice every week to make sure I am giving them the proper size.

My boyfriends het pieds are 4 month olds and they are 115 grams. They have been eating large mice for 3 weeks now. I think your bp is growing slowly because your feeding her small portions for long periods. The pet store owner told me that a bulge is important when you want a bp to gain weight and grow. If you don't see a bulge, go to a size bigger. Hope this helps
