This is not what I had in mind when I decided to feed my KSB live
My male KSB hasn't eaten for me in almost 3 months, I'm assuming it's related to the fact that it's winter because he still seems to be in great shape. Anyways, I decided to try a live hopper today to see if that would entice him to eat. I dropped the hopper in the cage and walked away to take care of other things. This is what I found when I came back. >_<

It's super cute, but really not what I had in mind.

In case you are wondering, he made his bed above the heat pad... >_<

Oh my gosh, too darn cute! In most instances I think I'd be able to still see a feeder as a feeder, but I don't think I'd be able to feed this little guy off. The amount of "AAWWW" that would come out of me would be ridiculous :P

If he's still there in the morning I will grant him a reprieve and either make him my pet or find him a home. I really want my KSB to eat so I'm don't want to pull him out too early. :(

Good plan, when I first got my Spider girl the previous owner gave us a rat pup to take along to feed her later since it was feeding day for the breeder and my spider girl didn't eat before we went to get her. Well I tried to feed the pup that night and she wouldn't take it so the next morning I told myself that if my spider girl didn't take the thing it would be a new pet...but she took it that morning so that saved me some $$$ on a new rat cage and food!

Hope your KSB starts eating for you

Normally i am ok with the feeders, but we recently got a really cute, beige marked rat pup. If it hadn't needed a mama to survive it might be a pet now instead of in a snakes stomach..... :O

My savanna monitor had this one mouse, she just would never eat. I left it in with her because I stunned it, and eventually it came-to and was fine. They'd sleep together all the time, and she'd eat other mice I'd give her, but wouldn't eat that one.

I took it out after a few days, and just kept it in a tank.
