Am I ok and keep pairing since theyve only been paired since early december or just give up?
Im curious about this as well, Im kinda in the same boat now and mine did this last year as well. Looked really huge and then slimmed up but didnt lose any weight. Im not sure but my guess is that they build up fat on the outside which makes them look bigger but as they build follicles and go off feed they use those reserves to build the follicles and eggs as well as to survive so it gives them the appearance of looking smaller when in fact they have just internalized those outer layers of fat towards eggs and used up some fat reserves making them appear slimmer. Then I believe they will ovulate and as the eggs get bigger and shelled I believe they will start to look bigger again. Not sure but this is what it seems like to me. I would keep paring till you see an ovulation or eggs. Very scientific I know but...best explaination I can think of.
