snake soaking all the time.
My male pastel that is around 680 grams has been soaking since i got him about 2 weeks ago. He had mites and iv used PAM and have another week before i can spray with it again. I have not seen any mites since i sprayed his enclosure.
The temp in his tank is around 80 with a warm side of 91.
So my question is...Why is he still soaking? He is always there and has only been out for maybe and hour here and there. He was dehydrated when i got him but he did shed a week back.

Could also be going into shed to get them off.
My first thought was the mites as well.
I noticed several of my BP's soaking lately and looked closer...Sure enough there were mites! First time I ever had them and no idea where they cam from. Oh well...There are a few cans of PAM in the mail now.

I had the same problem during the summer. He stopped soaking after I gave him a bath and washed him with reptile spray made by natural chemistry which is made for direct contact. I would used newspaper as my substrate and treat it with PAM. It worked for me.
